... NWS damage survey for 04/24/15 tornado and high winds event...

.Overview... One tornado has been confirmed by a storm survey team from
the National Weather Service office. Several other areas of damaging
winds were noted across much of the dfw metroplex. Maximum winds were
in the 80 to 85 mph range... while the confirmed tornado produced EF-0

line winds. 80 mph winds were noted in an area between Godley and Joshua.
The majority of the damage was located in a small area approximately
four miles to the northwest of the city of Joshua. In this area... the
survey team was not able to completely rule out the possibility of a brief
tornado... there was no overwhelming evidence in the damage pattern... radar
data... or eyewitnesses. There was also extensive wind damage across the southern portions of
Tarrant County... where several trees were damaged or uprooted. The majority
of this damage was noted in or near Benbrook... as well as the south side of
the city of Fort Worth. Other damage areas were noted in the northeast
