CDT...

At 606 PM CDT... severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Clarendon to St. Charles and Snow Lake... and moving
northeast at 45 mph.

Hazard... 60 mph wind gusts.

Impact... expect damage to roofs... siding and trees.

At 604 PM CDT... severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from St. Charles to Gunnison... and moving northeast at 50
mph.

The Flood Warning continues for
the White River at Clarendon.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 12:00 PM Sunday the stage was 28.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 26.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 28.7 feet by
Friday morning. Heavy rain is expected over the next two days
and this forecast will likely change. Please monitor the river forecasts
from the National Weather Service in Little Rock closely over the next
few days.
* Impacts at 26.0 feet... river flows in many side channels and creates islands
between the river and sloughs and creeks. Flooding of cropland and Timber
is occurring. Portions of the National wildlife Refuge downstream of
Clarendon flooding.

* Through Tuesday afternoon

* widespread showers and thunderstorms will continue across the
area this afternoon... before decreasing in coverage this evening.
Rainfall of 1 to 2 inches will be common... with locally higher
amounts. The rainfall will fall in a very short time
frame... with run off likely.

There will smaller rain chances across the region for Memorial
Day... before another round of heavy rainfall moves into the
state Monday night into Tuesday. The second round of rainfall is
expected to bring widespread 2 to 4 inch rainfall amounts... with
more flooding issues expected.

* The soil across much of Arkansas remains saturated from the
heavy rainfall that occurred during the month of may. Many
rivers and streams are still at unseasonably high levels...
with any additional heavy rainfall only increasing the
potential for flash flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.

* Impacts... the breezy conditions will create hazardous
conditions on area bodies of water.

on area lakes. Small boats will be especially prone to capsizing.
